Yvaine

As Stardust is one of my all time favourite movies I wanted to dedicate a post to the lovely Yvaine. The movie isn't really that well known and so I will just give you a brief description of the movie. It all starts with the typical poor boy going after the popular girl in the village and the girl says she will take his hand in marriage if he goes and gets her a star. The boy hears of a fallen star over the wall and he sets out in search for it. When he gets to the said location of the fallen star he does not find what he expected and instead he sees a girl. It turns out that the girl is the star and so the boy tethers her to him using an enchanted chain so he can get her back to his betrothed. However at the same time three witches are attempting to capture the girl to cut out her heart and use it to bring them all youth. The boy does everything in his power to protect the girl and the more time the star and the boy spent together the more they realised how happy they made each other and I won't ruin it any more for you. I really recommend you watch the movie as it really is amazing and really under rated for it's quality. The outfit I have selected for this character is very ballroom however due to the fact the movie is set in old England there was no other way I could clearly capture the character. I also apologize in advance for the gormless look the character has on her face but I couldn't find a better image. Unfortunately Claire Danes does not photograph well in this movie.
